There are a few guidelines you will want to consider when you are deciding where you want to place your pit. We can discuss this when we come out to do a bid, but so you can think about it I will go over a few. You will want to make sure that it is placed at least 10 feet away from any structures or fences. To avoid catching your house or your neighbors on fire. After your neighbors see how much fun you are having they might want to come join you around the fire! Another piece of design is deciding whether you want the fire pit contractor to embed the pit below ground or to have an above ground pit. The benefit of an above ground one is that you feel more of the heat and won't have to make the fire as big. Our experts will help you design the pit from top to bottom and tie it into your backyard living space.

FIRE PIT IDEAS

GAS- Some homeowners will opt to put in a fire pit that runs of propane coming from your house. This makes things easy, just turn a knob and wallah, fire. You can add different kinds of lava rock or fake logs to decorate.

WOOD- There is nothing quite like the smell of burning wood, if you are someone who stocks firewood year around then this might be the option for you. Get the full nostalgia of a wood fire that is sure to bring back great memories and create even more.

A few other things to think about are whether you want it to be square, rectangle or round. Would you want it above or below ground?

Would you use it to cook more than just marsh mellows? Would you want an easy cooking grate installed?

SAFETY TIPS

  • Check wind direction before you light a fire.
  • Don’t use flammable fluids (gasoline, lighter fluid, etc.) to light or relight fires.
  • Avoid using soft woods like pine or cedar, because they can “pop” and throw sparks.
  • Make sure to keep children and pets at least 3 feet away from the fire.
  • Don’t wear flammable clothing (like nylon) or any loose-fitting clothing.

Keep the party going long into the night with a fire. Call today!
